Ezra Henry
Born 28 November 8, 1975, Brooklyn, NY. Ezra started playing at the
Church of God of Prophecy at age 3. Both mother and father, who are ministers at the church, bought his first drum set at the age of six. Ezra has always had love for every instrument, but gained a passion for playing drums at 8 while playing drums for the Bushwick Youth Choir. Upon graduating high school, he took on the ministry of music seriously. Ezra has had the opportunity to study in different schools and with different musical professors. Ezra was able to solidify his drumming at the Drummer’s Collective at NYC. Soon after he began to play for an all male group called, "Spiritually Yours" where he was able to minister up and down the East coast. This ministry led him to become musical director of "Ephesians" where he toured overseas and in many parts of the US.Ezra has been blessed with the opportunity to play with Pastor Donnie Mcklurkin. Currently, Ezra is a music minister at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. After playing for Ephesians, Ezra was introduced to AIC via saxophonist Eli Correa. For the past three years, Ezra has been ministering with this band. This has given him the opportunity to further his knowledge of music and ministry.
